1. ARL3CCH1NO – Stalling (Arl3cch1no‘s The Sunn… Oh, It Ain‘t Gonna Shine Anymore Remix)

Initially Written By ARL3CCH1NO

Vocals: Stephanie Marin
Guitars/Noises: Jan Pankau
Programming: Stephan Gossen

Remix By Stephan Gossen – 2019

Produced And Mixed By Stephan Gossen

Inspired by various noisy albums and live performances by Sunn O))), Pharmakon, Lingua Ignota and others in 2019 (mostly on Roadburn Festival) I decided to remix „Stalling“ on my own – based on the feedback guitar track Jan initially recorded for the demo (but it‘s still an essential part of the final version on our debut EP) and using only elements from the original song (plus a lot of endless reverb and delay).

2. ARL3CCH1NO – Medication (Arsine Tibé Remix)

Initially Written By ARL3CCH1NO

Vocals: Stephanie Marin
Programming: Manfred Thomaser
Bass Guitar: Stephan Gossen

Remix By Manfred Thomaser - 2018

Produced And Mixed By Manfred Thomaser & Stephan Gossen

Our friend Manfred of !distain and Arsine Tibé did a remix of „Medication“ shortly after the release of „Psyche“ in April 2018, but it took some time to finish arrangement and mix The only elements left from the original version are the vocals – everything else was composed and programmed by Manfred completely new (except the bass guitar I‘ve recorded for the second half of the track).

3. ARL3CCH1NO – Overload (Fry Lee Remix)

Initially Written By ARL3CCH1NO

Vocals: Stephanie Marin & Kevin Kotroczó
Programming: Stephan Gossen & Kevin Kotroczó

Remix By Kevin Kotroczó – 2019

Produced And Mixed By Kevin Kotroczó

I met audio engineer and producer Kevin when starting my new job in summer 2019 and soon we started talking about music and remix culture in general on the same wavelength. So the „Overload“ remix was some kind of experiment giving one the tracks a more electronic dance vibe – which works pretty well somehow.

4. ARL3CCH1NO – Deja Vu (.diluted.mind Remix)

Initially Written By ARL3CCH1NO

Vocals: Stephanie Marin
Kalimba: Julia Rank
Guitars: Jan Pankau
Programming: Stephan Gossen

Remix By .diluted.mind – 2019

Produced And Mixed By .diluted.mind

Axel is some kind of a long-time-music-fellow for me, we „met“ around 2005 or so on a local social media platform because of our crush for Godflesh. Since then there is a constant exchange about weird, depressive music, production tools and strategies. In some cases he is (beside Julia) one of the first persons I show new mixes and ask for feedback, so I was very happy when he made the „Deja Vu“ remix – although I knew he would produce some really sick shit.

5. !DISTAIN – December (Arl3cch1no‘s Always Ultra Bloody Remix)

Initially Written By !DISTAIN

Vocals: Alex Braun & Manfred Thomaser
Programming: Manfred Thomaser & Stephan Gossen
Guitars: Jan Pankau

Remix By Jan Pankau & Stephan Gossen - 2015

Produced And Mixed By Stephan Gossen

In 2015, shortly after Jan and me established the ARL3CCH1NO project, we got the chance to remix a song by the synth pop band !distain, which I met by accident when I‘d worked for a television production company around 2010. Jan and me, both with a weakness for eighties synthesizer stuff, had a lot of fun adding these Killing-Joke-like gutars and manipulating the original stems. I think it‘s a great new perspective on the song – and darker somehow.

6. AQUANUIT – Aquavit 2 (Arl3cch1no‘s Cheerio Miss Sophie Remix)

Initially Written By AQUANUIT

Programming: Timo Seeberger & Stephan Gossen

Remix By Stephan Gossen – 2016

Produced And Mixed Stephan Gossen

Initally produced as part of the soundtrack for the Lindenblatt Records radioplay live performance „Frankenstein & Co.“ on the radioplay fair „Hörmich“ in 2016 together with another Aquanuit song featured later on this album. The original composer and performer, Timo Seeberger, is a guy I knew from my hometown and my childhood and I wasn‘t aware that he is writing and producing great electronic music for many years – it‘s a small world.

7. NINE INCH NAILS – The Beginning Of The End (Arl3cch1no‘s The End Is Nigh Remix)

Initially Written By TRENT REZNOR

Vocals, Guitars, Bass Guitar, Drums: Trent Reznor
Programming: Trent Reznor & Stephan Gossen

Remix By Stephan Gossen – 2018

Produced And Mxed By Stephan Gossen

When Trent Reznor released the „Year Zero“ album and the corresponding remix collection (including stems of every track on „Year Zero“ for non commercial remixing) in 2007 I was waiting for the right mood and motivation to try my best with the master‘s material – it really took some time to get the self esteem for that and it was very interesting to see, how Reznor works in detail (and how shitty some of the tracks sound when played solo).

8. HEINER JASPERS – Flashback (Arl3cch1no‘s An Elevator Is A Nice Place For Psychological Abysses Remix)

Initially Written By HEINER JASPERS

Programming: Heiner Jaspers

Remix By Stephan Gossen - 2015

Produced And Mixed By Stephan Gossen

„Flashback“ was a collection of short soundscapes, spooky noises and other stuff by musician and composer Heiner Jaspers for the soundtrack of the Lindenblatt Records‘ radioplay „Abwärts“ released in 2015 – but it was not a real song with an arrangement or something like that. Shortly after the label‘s decision to release the soundtrack as some kind of bonus content on the third disc of the radioplay I build a song arrangement including all relevant parts and sequences used in the radioplay – still pretty cool and atmospheric soundtrack or interlude.

9. VORTEX – Wrench (Arl3cch1no‘s Gold Version 3.0 Remix)

Initially Written By VORTEX

Vocals: Johannes Wittermann
Guitars: Jan Pankau
Programming: Johannes Wittermann, Michael Heid & Stephan Gossen

Remix By Stephan Gossen – 2020

Produced And Mixed By Stephan Gossen

I did my first serious programming and production work afte rmy audio engineer education for the industrial band VorTeX about 15 years ago. Maybe „Wrench“ is the track I love most from that time, because i contains as the first song written and produced by myself that certrain soundtrack like atmosphere. So it was an obivious decison to produce an dupdate remix of that song for this release. Jan provided some new guitars… yeah, finally good sounding guitars after all these years.

10. THE DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT – Julaar (Arl3cch1no‘s Whiny Weeny Remix)

Initially Written By DEVIN TOWNSEND

Vocals, Guitars, Bass Guitar, Synths, Samples: Devin Townsend
Drums: Dirk Verbeuren
Additional Drum Programming: Julia Rank & Stephan Gossen

Remix By Julia Rank & Stephan Gossen - 2019

Produced And Mixed By Stephan Gossen

Another musician (beside Trent Reznor) I listen two for almost 30 years is without a question Devin Townsend. His CD-boxset of the first four Devin Townsend Project albums contains a bonus disc with stems of the song „Julaar“ for non commercial remixing – so Julia (herself a big Townsend-Fan) and myself gave it a try and we are really happy with the result (and were really surprised and confused because of the electronic elements we found in the original arrangement).

11. MONSTER IN THE BASEMENT – Slender (Arl3cch1no‘s Red Nose Remix)

Initially Written By MONSTER IN THE BASEMENT

Vocals, Guitars: Stefan Strauch & Martin Jofer
Guitar Solo: Jonathan Schmid
Bass Guitar: Matthias Wimmer
Drums Programming: Stephan Gossen

Remix By Stephan Gossen – 2014/2019

Produced And Mixed By Stephan Gossen

Monster In The Basement was a project of Martin and Stefan, two friends form my hometown area supported by some other guys I knew from the audio engineers school. So it was pretty cool when bandleader Stefan offered me the chance to try remixing two of the songs in 2014 – although I had not so much experience with something like that. This was the second remix I did and I was lucky enough to find a full backup of the session to improve the mix al little bit for this release.

12. ARL3CCH1NO – Overload (Arl3cch1no‘s Downwards Is Always Faster Than Upwards Soundtrack Mix)

Initially Written By ARL3CCH1NO

Guitars: Jan Pankau
Programming, Bass Guitar: Stephan Gossen
Programming: Heiner Jaspers

Mix By Stephan Gossen – 2015

This was the first version of „Overload“ ever released as the main theme for Lindenblatt Records radioplay „Abwärts“. Although our singer Stephanie plays the female lead in that production the soundtrack is instrumental in full. This version of „Overload“ is a little longer than the „Psyche“-version and contains additional synths of Heiner Jaspers who wrote „Flashback“ for the same radioplay soundtrack.

13. ARL3CCH1NO – Deja Vu (Arl3cch1no‘s Original Cult Of Lindenblatt Soundtrack Mix)

Initially Written By ARL3CCH1NO

Guitars: Jan Pankau
Programming: Stephan Gossen

Mix By Stephan Gossen – 2012

This version of „Deja Vu“ was initally released under the name VorTeX as the soundtrack theme for Lindenblatt Records second radio play release „Deja Vu“. It was the first time that Jan and me tried to get that special post rock like atmosphere in our music. Unfortunately Johnny was not involved in the songwriting process of the song and when VorTeX story ended at that time and after some years we realized that „Deja Vu“ was the first song of a new chapter (named AR3CCH1NO) for Jan and me.

14. MONSTER IN THE BASEMENT – Slender Basement (Arl3cch1no‘s Super Sonic Laser Remix)

Initially Written By MONSTER IN THE BASEMENT

Vocals, Guitars: Stefan Strauch & Martin Jofer
Guitar Solo: Jonathan Schmid
Bass Guitar: Matthias Wimmer
Drums Programming: Stephan Gossen

Remix By Stephan Gossen – 2014

Produced And Mixed By Stephan Gossen

This was the first remix I did ever and it sounds like this, too :-) Seriously, the mix would be much better if I would have access to the original cubase session (which I obviously don‘t have). But the main concept and the Beastie Boys-like attitude of the song is still cool, the riffs are aweseome, the track kicks ass – almost a summer hit.

15. AQUANUIT – the Bright Side Of Beeing Dull (Arl3cch1no‘s The Dull Side Of Beeing Breit Remix)

Initially Written By AQUANUIT

Programming: Timo Seeberger & Stephan Gossen

Remix By Stephan Gossen – 2016/2020

Produced And Mixed By Timo Seeberger & Stephan Gossen

This track was produced for the soundtrack for the Lindenblatt Records radioplay live performance „Frankenstein & Co.“ on the radioplay fair „Hörmich“ in 2016, too. I didn‘t modifiy the mix and sound asthetics of the orginal song. But I programmed a completely new beat, as fat (or over compressed) and groovy as possible and definitely inspired by Tomoyasu Hotels „Battle Without Honor Or Humanity“.

„Psyche Remixed“ is not very produced and mastered by Stephan Gossen – 2019/2020

ARL3CCH1NO would like to thank: Manfred Thomaser, Kevin Kotroczó, Axel, Timo Seeberger, Heiner Jaspers, Stefan Strauch, Martin Jofer, Stefan Lindner & Lindenblatt Records, Echozone, Obi Wom, Johnny Wittermann, Michael Heid, Bumm Film for the studio time, Trent Reznor & Devin Townsend for the stems and everyone we forgot ;-)
